Vietnamese carmaker VinFast is planning to launch a whole new lineup of electric vehicles and to boost the production of EVs, they’re also planning to start factories in Germany and USA. VinFast also unveiled three new models at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week. The car models are named VF5, VF6, and VF7 crossovers join the VF8 (previously known as VF35) and VF9 crossovers, The company has started taking reservations for the VF8 and VF9, and the cars will hit the US market by the end of 2022. During the event of the car, the automaker mentioned the prices of $41,000 for the VF8 and $56,000 for the VF9. These are just preliminary costs, but they don’t include the destination or the cost of the battery lease.
There’s no information available on the new cars, but it was previously stated they’ll be available with a dual-motor powertrain making 402 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque. The car is rumored to offer a 300-mile range for the VF8 and a 400-mile range for VF9. VinFit is expected to launch its US factory in the second half of 2024. The automaker has an ambitious goal to roll out cars all throughout USA, Germany, Asia. If they can keep up with their timeline, this goal of theirs will revolutionize the market.
